My Experience
I have 17 years experience teaching math. I started out my career as a math teacher with 10 years in the classroom at the middle school level. When my daughter was born I took a leave of absence and started private tutoring. I have enjoyed tutoring so much that I decided not to go back to the classroom and to continue tutoring as my career instead. I have now been doing private tutoring for last 7 years working with students of all ages. (Most of my students and experience is with middle school and high school students though). I have worked with families who are choosing to homeschool as well as students who attend school full time and need the extra help. I am a credentialed math teacher and have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of San Diego and a Masters degree in Finance.
Who am I?
I am a math teacher, wife, and mom of two young kids living in Carlsbad, CA. I love being outdoors and being active as well as hanging out at home with my kids doing art, boardgames, and puzzles. As a family we love riding bikes, playing with our chocolate lab, going to the beach or local park, camping, and playing sports. We are a house divided when it comes to baseball though, with half of us being Padres fans and the other (wiser) half being SF Giants fans.

In-Person Session
In person instruction from home or mutual meeting place.
If your student prefers working in person I am happy to come to you or meet at mutually agreed upon location. I always work to learn each student's preferred learning style.

Online Session
Math tutoring from anywhere you can access the internet.
Whether I meet with students in person or remotely, I offer individualized lessons and a lot of patience. That’s why my Online Session is an ideal way to start making sense of math. Debating what is the best learning method for you? This is a great place to start.
Group Session
From small group tutoring to custom semester classes.
I can work with a group of students for tutoring or I can teach full semester classes. I can use a provided curriculum or create custom lessons. I am able to completely tailor the class to your students' needs.
Pricing
$40
45 minute online session
This pricing is for scheduled weekly sessions.
*One time sessions scheduled individually are $50 per 45 minutes.

1 hour in-person session
This pricing is for a full hour of tutoring scheduled weekly, either online or in person. I am happy to tutor up to two students (on the same topic and same level) at this price.
*One time sessions scheduled individually are $60/hour.
